John Moore: Paintings
April 26th - June 1st 2007

Hirschl & Adler Modern is pleased to announce the opening of John Moore: Paintings on April 26, 2007. This, Moore’s tenth solo show at Hirschl & Adler Modern, will feature eighteen works, all oil on canvas. The exhibition is accompanied by a fully illustrated 32-page catalogue featuring an essay by noted critic John Yau.

Painting, for John Moore, is as much about the act of looking—and seeing—as it is about the process of creating a work of art. Drawing his subjects from the visible world, Moore remains a painter of the “stuff” of our everyday lives, as he continues to incorporate still-life arrangements, urban landscapes, and architectural motifs into his formally constructed compositions.
